Ingredients

  • 1 pack dumplings
  • oil
  • 500 g chicory
  • 1 handful date (s)
  • 1 small onion (s), red

For the dressing:

  • some parsley
  • 4 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon, heaped horseradish, (cream horseradish)
  • 2 tablespoon balsamic vinegar, white - or even better, white balsamic cream
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Peel off the chicory leaves and wash lukewarm. Drain and cut into strips. Cut the onion into very fine rings. Core the dates and cut into strips.
  2. Chop the parsley and mix well with the remaining ingredients for the dressing. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  3. Cut the dumplings into strips and fry them in a little oil in a pan until crispy.
  4. Mix the salad with the dressing and spread out on the plates. Place the dumplings hot on the salad. Garnish with a little parsley and serve.
