Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 May turnips
  • some leaves, from the turnips
  • 50 ml chicken broth
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ sugar
  • salt
  • Pepper, black, freshly ground
  • some chili powder
  • 2 spring onion (s)
  • 1 handful parsley
  • 4 tablespoon heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Peel the turnips, cut in half and cut into slices. Wash and chop the beet leaves, parsley and spring onions.
  2. Melt the butter in a large saucepan and fry the turnips in it on all sides. Deglaze with a little chicken stock and add the turnip leaves. Steam in very little liquid for about 10 minutes. If necessary, add a little broth.
  3. Season to taste with salt, freshly ground black pepper, sugar and a little chili powder. Add the cream and mix well. Now add the parsley and spring onions, stir well and serve.
