Meatballs with Rice in Tomato-Cream Sauce

by Editorial Staff

My favorite super meatball recipe for you. Pork meatballs are good with potatoes, and with rice, and with pasta and porridge.

Cook: 1 hour
Servings: 6

Ingredients

  • Pork – 600 g
  • Or minced pork – 600 g
  • Rice – 200 g
  • Bulb onions – 1-2 pcs.
  • Tomato paste – 2 tbsp
  • Chicken egg – 1 pc.
  • Garlic (optional) – 2-3 cloves
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Pork seasoning – to taste
  • Homemade cream – 4 tbsp
  • Water – 0.5 l
  • Vegetable oil – 30 g

Directions

  1. Wash the meat, cut into pieces. Peel and wash the onions. Peel the garlic.  Boilthe kettle. Rinse the rice and pour boiling water over for 5-10 minutes. Then place the rice on a sieve.
  2. Pass the meat, onion and garlic through a meat grinder. Salt and pepper the minced meat, add your favorite spices, egg and rice. Knead the minced meat well. Form meatballs with wet hands.
  3. Preheat a frying pan. Pour in vegetable oil. Put prepared meatballs in hot oil. Fry meatballs with rice in a skillet on both sides, over medium heat for 2-3 minutes (until golden brown appears on them). Put meatballs with rice in a cauldron.
  4. Boil the kettle. Pour 0.5 liters of boiling water into a saucepan. Season with salt and pepper to taste, add bay leaf. Dissolve tomato paste and homemade cream in water. Pour meatballs with prepared sauce. Simmer meatballs with rice in sauce on the lowest heat, covered for about 25-30 minutes.
  5. Meatballs with rice in sauce are ready. Serve with your favorite side dish.

Enjoy your meal!
