Instructions

  1. Cut the bacon into small cubes.
  2. Heat a pan over medium heat and add the bacon cubes. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the bacon is slightly browned and the fat is rendered.
  3. Add the flour and stir to combine.
  4. Continue cooking over medium heat for 2-3 minutes, stirring, until the flour is golden brown.
  5. Use as a garnish or stir into soups, sauces, and vegetable dishes such as cabbage, spinach, kale, or green beans.
