Ingredients

  • 500 g round beef
  • 1 can tomato (s)
  • 1 can beans, red
  • 1 large onion (s)
  • 1 small onion (s)
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 2 tablespoon cheese, grated
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Mince the round beef if needed. Chop the large onion and finely chop the small onion.
  2. Heat a large pan over medium-high heat with enough oil to coat the bottom. Add the minced beef and chopped large onion, and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beef is browned and cooked through.
  3. Chop the tomatoes from the can and add them to the pan along with their liquid. Stir well.
  4. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Add the red beans with their liquid from the can.
  6. Stir in the chili powder, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Simmer for 5 minutes more.
  8. Sprinkle the finely chopped small onion and grated cheese over the chili, and serve.
