Mexican Salad with Beans

by Editorial Staff

Mexican flaky salad is made primarily from legumes and vegetables. The layers are seasoned with sour cream and spicy tomato sauce. Add one layer of grilled ground beef if desired. But my version of Mexican salad is vegetarian.

Ingredients

  • Canned or boiled beans – 200 g
  • Canned corn – 200 g
  • Canned green peas – 200 g
  • Hard cheese – 150 g
  • Tomatoes – 2 pcs.
  • Red onion – 1 pc.
  • Lettuce leaves – 1 bunch
  • Sour cream – 200 g
  • Hot or piquant tomato sauce – 100 g

Directions

  1. Cut the lettuce leaves into thin strips.
  2. Finely chop the onion (if you wish to soften the taste of the onion, you need to marinate it in 1 tablespoon of vinegar).
  3. Cut the tomatoes into slices, remove the skin from them and remove the seeds.
  4. Chop the tomato pulp into small cubes.
  5. Put the salad leaves on the bottom of the salad bowl.
  6. Put the onion on top
  7. Put the beans on the onion.
  8. Pour over with hot sauce or ketchup.
  9. Put green peas on top of the sauce.
  10. On the corn peas.
  11. Put chopped tomatoes on top of the corn.
  12. Sprinkle generously with sour cream.
  13. Grate the cheese on a fine grater.
  14. Decorate the salad as you wish.
Bon appetit!
