Millet Porridge with Pumpkin on the Water

We are preparing a delicious and healthy breakfast for the whole family – millet porridge with a pumpkin on the water.

Ingredients

  • Pumpkin – 750 g
  • Water – 3 glasses
  • Millet – 1.5 cups
  • Salt – 0.25 teaspoon
  • Butter (vegetable) – 20 g (to taste)

How to cook millet porridge with pumpkin in water:

Directions

  1. Rinse the millet well (you can pour boiling water over for 5 minutes).
  2. Peel the pumpkin, wash, chop finely.
  3. Put the pumpkin in a saucepan.
  4. Boil the kettle. Pour boiling water over the pumpkin and cook for 10 minutes.
  5. Then add millet.
  6. Stir the porridge, cook for another 15-20 minutes over low heat.
  7. After that, remove the porridge from the heat, cover with a lid, and set it up for half an hour (you can cover it with a towel).
  8. Millet porridge with a pumpkin on the water is ready. Supply oil separately.
  9. Ready-made millet porridge with pumpkin in water can be served.
