Ingredients

  • 500 g minced beef or lamb
  • 500 g white cabbae, finely chopped
  • 1 large onion (s), finely diced
  • 2 teaspoons ginger, finely chopped
  • 2 clove (s) garlic, finely chopped
  • olive oil
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder, hot and sweet
  • cinnamon
  • Ground cumin
  • broth
  • 1 lemon (s), juice it

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan, fry the onion, garlic and ginger.
  2. Gradually add the meat and fry until crumbly.
  3. Add strips of white cabbage and fry.
  4. Season with cinnamon, pepper, salt and both types of paprika as well as cumin, stir well.
  5. Pour in some broth, stir and let cook, covered, until the cabbage has the desired consistency. Stir again and again, if necessary, add more stock.
  6. Season to taste with lemon juice and other spices.
  7. Potatoes or flatbread go well with it
