Ingredients
- 500 g steak (s) (minute steaks)
- salt and pepper
- Paprika powder
- Spice mix (Virginia steak spice)
- 1 cup whipped cream
- 1 small Can (s) mushrooms (drained weight 295 g, sliced)
- some water
- Sauce thickener
- 1 teaspoon beef broth, instant
- some oil

- First, I seasoned the steaks with a little salt (not too much otherwise it will be tough), pepper, paprika and steak seasoning on both sides. Heat oil in a pan (the bottom of the pan should be completely covered) and fry the meat on the highest setting.
- When the meat is browned all over, add approx. 1/8 l beef broth and cook it with the steaks on the highest setting! When the broth is reduced and has a sauce-like consistency (after approx. 8 minutes), take the steaks out of the pan, wrap them in aluminum foil and place the parcel in the preheated oven to keep them warm.
- Now we add the drained mushrooms to the broth and fry them. Then the whole thing is extinguished with the cream, the cream is brought to the boil (don`t forget to stir) and the whole thing is thickened with a little dark sauce thickener!
- French fries, hash browns or dumplings with peas and carrots go well with this. A quick, inexpensive recipe which, at around € 4, doesn`t make a big dent in your household budget.
