Ingredients
- 800 g mirabelle plums, cored and chopped
- 500 g berries (josta berries)
- 2 large onions, chopped
- 200 g suar, brown
- 200 g preservin suar, 2: 1
- 100 ml vinegar (raspberry vinegar)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon basil, dried
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon coriander, ground
- 1 pinch clove (s)

- If you can`t get josta berries, you can also use 250 g currants and 250 g gooseberries.
- Put all ingredients in a saucepan, mix well and slowly bring to the boil, stirring constantly. Then simmer for about 15 minutes on a low flame and stir from time to time.
- When the onion pieces are translucent and the mixture has turned a dark red color, the chutney is ready to be filled into screw-top jars.
- Makes approx. 6 glasses of 350 ml each
