Ingredients

  • 5 prunes (prunes)
  • 5 apricot (s), dried
  • 10 raisins
  • 1 handful apple peel, dried or apple rings
  • Clove (s), 3-5
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • Orange (n) - peel, untreated, a small piece
  • 1 liter schnapps (grain brandy, 40%)
  • 250 ml water, possibly a sugar solution

Instructions

  1. Place the prunes, dried apricots, raisins, dried apple peel, cloves, cinnamon stick, and orange peel in a glass or ceramic container.
  2. Pour the 1 liter of schnapps over the fruit and spices, covering them completely.
  3. Close the container tightly and place in a warm place (not in direct sunlight) for 3 weeks.
  4. After 3 weeks, strain the mixture through a fine sieve or cloth, discarding the solid fruit and spices.
  5. Add 250 ml of water to the strained liquid and stir well.
  6. Filter the liqueur through cheesecloth or a fine coffee filter.
  7. Pour into clean glass bottles and seal tightly.
  8. The schnapps is ready to drink immediately.
