  • 300 g wheat flour
  • 0.5 ½ cube yeast
  • 150 ml milk
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 2 scoops mozzarella
  • oregano
  • basil
  • 1 pinch (s) sugar
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Mix the flour with a pinch of salt and a pinch of sugar in a bowl.
  2. Warm the milk in a saucepan over low heat until warm to touch but not hot (around 43°C / 110°F).
  3. Crumble the yeast into the warm milk and stir until completely dissolved.
  4. Gradually pour the yeast-milk mixture into the flour while stirring until a smooth dough forms. If needed, add small amounts of additional flour or milk to achieve the right consistency.
  5. Cover the bowl and let the dough rise in a warm place for 30 minutes (you can use an oven on its lowest setting).
  6. Knead the dough vigorously for 2 to 3 minutes.
  7. Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and roll out each on a floured work surface into an oblong rectangle.
  8. Cut the mozzarella into strips and sprinkle over the dough rectangles. Season well with oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
  9. Roll up each rectangle tightly from the long side, then press the seams and ends firmly closed.
  10. Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F).
  11. Bake for 20 minutes until golden brown.
  12. Serve hot.
