Instructions

  1. Apart from the last ingredient from the list, put all other ingredients in a bowl and make a batter. Cut the peeled apples very finely and fold them into the batter at the end. Cover the bowl and let it rise in a warm place until the batter has doubled.
  2. Heat up the fryer. With the help of two teaspoons, spoon the dough into the heated fat. Turn once after a short time.
  3. When the hats are evenly brown, use a slotted spoon to remove them from the fat and let them drain on some kitchen paper.
  4. If you like, you can also sprinkle the hats with powdered sugar or turn them in sugar.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
