Ingredients

  • 900 g flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 egg (s), whisked lightly
  • 300 ml milk, lukewarm
  • 300 ml water, lukewarm
  • 4 tablespoon oil
  • 2 tablespoon sesame seeds,
  • Melt butter
  • salt
  • Flour, for the work surface

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, baking powder, sugar and salt, mix with egg, milk, oil and water and knead until a smooth and firm dough is formed. Let the dough rest for about 30 minutes.
  2. Shape the dough into 14 balls of the same size. Roll out the dough balls about 5 mm thin on a floured surface and sprinkle with a little sesame seeds.
  3. Preheat two trays in the oven to 240 degrees Celsius. Grease the hot trays. Place the flatbread on top in portions and bake for 5-6 minutes each until they have risen golden brown and airy.
  4. Serve while warm, drizzled with some melted butter.
