Ingredients

  • 700 g onion (s), or other veetables
  • 500 g yourt, 1.5% fat
  • 4 large egg (s)
  • 250 g cheese (Edam), rated
  • 1 packet puff pastry, fresh or frozen
  • salt
  • pepper
  • Paprika powder, noble sweet
  • nutmeg
  • Caraway powder
  • 100 g butter
  • 125 g ham, diced

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven (fan oven 180 degrees).
  2. Prepare the puff pastry according to the package instructions and spread or roll out on a baking sheet and leave to rest.
  3. Dice onions and sauté in butter and a little salt until translucent, add diced ham and cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, whisk the yoghurt and eggs in a large bowl, season well with salt, pepper and paprika, season with a little nutmeg and caraway seeds.
  5. Fold in the cooled onions and stir in the grated cheese.
  6. Pour the mixture onto the puff pastry and distribute it.
  7. Bake in the oven for about 20-30 minutes. In the meantime, prick with a fork.
  8. Let cool down a little and serve - preferably with a fresh white wine.
  9. Instead of onions, carrots and leeks also taste very good, eggplant and zucchini would be a Mediterranean variant.
