Ingredients

  • 3 vegetable onion (s)
  • 200 g flour
  • 0.5 liter ½ vegetable oil for deep-frying
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 egg (s)
  • 100 ml beer

Instructions

  1. Peel the onions, cut into rings approx. 1 cm thick and dust with a little flour. Heat the oil in a tall saucepan or deep fryer to 180 ° C. (In the pot: if bubbles form on a wooden stick, the oil is hot enough).
  2. Mix the remaining flour, salt, eggs and beer into a smooth dough (it shouldn`t be too runny). Dip the onions, drain a little and carefully add to the hot oil. Fry for about 2 minutes on each side. Remove the rings from the fat with a slotted spoon and drain on kitchen paper.
  3. Serve with ketchup or garlic sauce.
