Ingredients

  • 2 cup rice
  • 2 cup celery, grated
  • 1 cup / s raisins
  • 1 cup onion (s), chopped
  • 2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 cup / s orange juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1 tablespoon orange (s) - peel, grated
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a casserole and sauté the onions and grated celery in it. Add the raw dry rice and cook for 5 minutes while stirring, then deglaze with the hot chicken stock. Add the orange juice. Let simmer on a low flame for 25 minutes, then add the raisins and the grated orange peel. Possibly add a little boiling water while cooking if the rice gets too dry.
  2. Goes very well with duck or goose!
