Ingredients

  • 200 g lentils, red
  • 400 ml vegetable stock
  • 3 clove (s) garlic
  • 2 tablespoon rapeseed oil or sunflower oil
  • 2 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 2 teaspoons paprika paste or ajvar (optional)
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ cumin powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ turmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (possibly less)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • chilli flakes

Instructions

  1. Cook the red lentils in the vegetable stock for approx. 10-15 minutes until soft.
  2. Add oil and chopped garlic and let cool a little. Add all other ingredients and season to taste.
  3. Puree and store in a screw-top jar in the refrigerator.
