Ingredients

  • 125 g flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon syrup (maple syrup)
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 1 large egg (s)
  • 150 ml milk
  • Butter or margarine for frying
  • Syrup (maple syrup), to be drizzled on

Instructions

  1. Put the flour in a bowl. Add the maple syrup, salt, egg and the milk and mix with the hand mixer to form a smooth dough. Then cover and let soak for half an hour at room temperature.
  2. Melt butter or margarine in a non-stick pan.
  3. Gradually add some batter to the pan with a ladle and bake about 12 small, thick pancakes on both sides until golden brown over medium heat.
  4. Drizzle the pancakes generously with maple syrup before serving.
  5. As a variation, you can top the pancakes with pieces of butter, use fried bacon as a side dish or mix blueberries into the batter (apple cubes or nuts are also possible).
