Ingredients

  • 500 g peas, dried reen or yellow
  • 500 g smoked smoked pork pork
  • 4 sausages, (Mettwürstchen)
  • 3 medium carrot (s)
  • 1 leek
  • 750 g potato (s), floury cookin
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 cube vegetable stock
  • 1 teaspoon marjoram

Instructions

  1. Soak the peas in 2 liters of water overnight.
  2. The next day, bring the peas to the boil with the soaking water. Remove the foam that is created with a slotted spoon. Let simmer for about 1 hour.
  3. After approx. 30 minutes add the meat and the sliced sausages.
  4. In the meantime, wash, clean and thinly slice the carrots and leek. Peel the potatoes and cut into small cubes.
  5. After a total of 1 hour of cooking, remove the meat and cut into small pieces. Now add the carrots, leek, potatoes, vegetable stock and marjoram. Let everything cook for another 20 minutes.
  6. Finally add the meat again.
  7. Since the meat and the sausages are smoked, carefully season with salt and pepper.
  8. I always cook a large amount and freeze the rest in portions.
