Ingredients

  • 300 g peas, yellow, dried
  • 2 liters water
  • Salt and pepper, whiter
  • marjoram
  • thyme
  • 1 onion (s)
  • 1 bone from the pork shoulder
  • 600 g boneless pork shoulder
  • 1 leek
  • 2 carrot (s)
  • 150 g celeriac
  • 1 bunch parsley

Instructions

  1. Wash the peas and soak them overnight. The next day, bring to the boil in the soaking water with the spices, the finely chopped onion and the bone.
  2. After a good hour of simmering, add the pork shoulder and the chopped vegetables and simmer for another 1.5 hours.
  3. Remove the bone. Remove the meat, cut it into cubes and add it to the soup. Season to taste and sprinkle with the finely chopped parsley.
  4. In Finland, mustard is also used for seasoning.
