Ingredients

  • 1 kg pork ribs
  • salt and pepper
  • 50 g lard
  • 1 onion (s)
  • 25 g flour
  • 0.5 liter ½ water
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 clove (s)
  • 2 grains allspice
  • 2 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 large pickle (s)

Instructions

  1. Rub ribs with salt and pepper, fry in hot lard on all sides. Add onion cubes and flour and brown briefly. Deglaze with boiling water (about 1/2 l). Add the spices, tomato paste mixed in a little water and diced cucumber, stew for about 60 minutes. Remove the spices, season again to taste.
  2. Side dish: mashed potatoes, boiled potatoes or pasta, sauerkraut or green salad.
