- 800 g potato (s)
- 200 g butter, soft
- 2 egg (s)
- 400 g flour
- 200 ml cream
- 100 ml milk
- 2 egg yolks
- pepper
- 1 clove (s) garlic, chopped
- 120 g cheese, rated youn Gouda cheese
- 200 g crème fraîche or sour cream
- 1 bunch chives
- 250 g salmon, smoked
- salt

- Boil the potatoes and let them cool.
- Knead the butter, eggs, flour and 1 teaspoon salt with the dough hook of the hand mixer, cover and chill.
- Peel the potatoes and cut them into slices.
- Roll out the dough 1/2 cm thinly into a rectangle of approx. 45X35cm. Place on a baking sheet dusted with flour and lightly press the edges.
- Prick evenly with a fork. Cover with the potato slices like a roof tile. Whisk the cream, milk and egg yolk, season with salt, pepper and garlic and pour over the potatoes. Sprinkle with cheese.
- Bake the potato cake at 200 ° on the lowest rack for 30-35 minutes.
- Mix the creme fraiche with the chives, season with salt and pepper and distribute evenly on the cake. Cover with the smoked salmon slices and serve immediately.
- The whole thing tastes lukewarm or cold. For this I cut the cake into small squares and arranged it on a plate.
- If you like, you can also garnish with dill.
