Potato Casserole with Mushrooms, Cream Ingredients

  • Potatoes – 1.5 kg
  • Champignon mushrooms – 300 g
  • Bulb onions – 2 pcs.
  • Cream (10-15%) – 500 g
  • Vegetable oil – 3-4 tablespoon.
  • Ground nutmeg – 1 pinch
  • Salt to taste

Potato Casserole with Mushrooms, Cream Instructions

  1. Peel the onion and cut it into small cubes. Cut the mushrooms into slices. Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin slices. Fry the onions in vegetable oil.
  2. When the onion is golden, add mushrooms to the pan with onions and fry until tender.
  3. Put the potato circles overlapping each other in a greased form. We spread two layers of potatoes, each of which is salt, and sprinkle with a pinch of nutmeg.
  4. Then we spread a layer of fried mushrooms with onions and again two layers of potatoes, each of which is salted. Pour cream over potatoes with mushrooms.
  5. We send potatoes with mushrooms and cream to a preheated oven for 20-30 minutes at a temperature of 200-220 degrees. Then we reduce the temperature to 180-190 degrees and cook the potato casserole with mushrooms in the oven for another 30 minutes.
