Ingredients

  • 500 g flour (whole wheat flour)
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 cube yeast
  • 300 g pumpkin meat, pureed, boiled, e.., Hokkaido
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 50 ml water
  • 1 pinch (s) nutmeg
  • 1 pinch (s) clove (s), ground
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon, ground
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, ground
  • 3 tablespoon pumpkin seeds

Instructions

  1. Mix the flour and salt in a bowl, make a well. Dissolve the yeast and honey in the warm water, stir in 2 tablespoons of flour and pour into the well. Cover and let the dough rise in a warm place for 20 minutes.
  2. Add the puree and the spices to the pre-dough and work into a dough, knead thoroughly for 15 minutes. Put the dough in a bowl and cover again in a warm place until it has doubled in size (approx. 50 minutes).
  3. Knead again well and knead in the pumpkin seeds. Pour the dough into a loaf pan and let it rise for 10 minutes.
  4. During this time, preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Bake the bread for about 45 minutes.
