Instructions

  1. Peel and cook the potatoes. Let the boiled potatoes cool down and mash them. Squeeze the quark well in a cloth or drain well in a sieve.
  2. Beat the butter, sugar and eggs into a frothy mixture. Stir in lemon zest and quark. Now add the flour, potatoes and sultanas and mix everything into a smooth dough. Shape the dough into small cubs and fry them in the margarine in a pan on both sides until golden brown. Serve warm with cinnamon sugar.
  3. A fruit compote or applesauce also goes well with it. The amount is enough as a dessert for about 4 people. As a sweet main course, it is enough for about 2 people.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
