Ingredients

  • 1 roll (s) puff pastry from the refrigerated shelf
  • 4 chicory
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 50 g walnut kernels, rouhly chopped
  • 100 g blue cheese, e.., Roquefort, Bleu d ‘Auverne or similar.
  • 20 cl crème fraîche
  • 3 large egg (s)
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Quarter the chicory heads lengthways and cut out the hard core. Melt the butter in a pan and add the chicory. Pepper and salt. Cover the pan and stew the chicory over low heat for 15 minutes. Remove the pan from the fire and drizzle the chicory with honey.
  2. In the meantime, preheat the oven to 180 ° C top / bottom heat.
  3. Place the puff pastry in a size 24 baking pan and prick several times with a fork. Spread the chicory on the puff pastry. Sprinkle the walnuts and crumbled cheese on top.
  4. Beat the crème fraîche and eggs, pepper and salt. Pour the mixture on the chicory.
  5. Bake in the hot oven for about 30-40 minutes. Take out of the oven and let cool down a bit.
  6. Serve with a green salad.
