Instructions

  1. First bring the 3 liters of water to the boil in the kettle and pour it into a suitable container.
  2. Then put the 8 bags together in the hot water and let them steep for a maximum of 5 minutes, otherwise the iced tea will be too bitter. Add 2 - 4 tablespoons of sugar to the hot tea and stir until it has dissolved.
  3. Then let the sugared tea cool down and let it stand for one night or for one night (approx. 8-10 hours) so that the tea can soak through. Letting it steep is the most important step, as it unfolds the typical iced tea taste.
  4. Just before serving, add your preferred juice and serve with ice cubes.
  5. Keeps in the refrigerator for up to 2 - 3 days.
  6. Note: The 2 - 4 tablespoons of sugar depend on the sugar content of the juice that will be added later. If you add passion fruit nectar, 2 tablespoons of sugar are enough. However, if you take pure lemon juice, 4 tablespoons are more pleasant because of the high acidity. In the end, however, personal taste counts.
