Ingredients

  • 1 kg rock candy
  • 6 rhubarb sticks (thick sticks)
  • 2 vanilla pods, sliced
  • 2 packs vanilla sugar
  • 3 bottles schnapps (grain, e.g. Berentzen or Rosche)

Instructions

  1. Clean the rhubarb and cut into pieces approx. 3 cm in size. Put the rock candy, the sliced vanilla pods and the vanilla sugar in a large, sealable container (I used a 5 liter bucket with a lid). Tilt the 3 bottles of schnapps (grain) over the whole thing and let it steep for 2 weeks.
  2. Pour through a cloth and pour into dark bottles.
  3. Tip: tastes best when chilled.
  4. I don`t know how long it can stand as it is always used up quickly.
