Ingredients

  • 400 g rose hips
  • 400 g apples, peeled and chopped up
  • 500 ml white wine
  • 600 g preservin suar, 3: 1
  • 40 ml lemon juice
  • 40 ml orange liqueur
  • some orange peel, untreated

Instructions

  1. Prepare spin-off glasses. Wash rose hips. Cut off stems and flowers. Halve the fruit and remove the stones with a small spoon. It is essential to wear gloves, otherwise the tiny hairs itch a lot!
  2. Boil the prepared rose hips with wine for 15-20 minutes, add liquid if necessary.
  3. Add the apples, spices and preserving sugar, bring to the boil and puree. Let simmer for about 4-5 minutes. Carry out a gelling test and fill into prepared glasses.
  4. Let the jam cool upside down.
  5. This recipe is enough for about 5 glasses.
