  • Rye bread – 6 pieces
  • Salted herring fillet – 120 g
  • White or red onions – 1 pc.
  • Tomato – 1 pc.
  • Green onion – 4 feathers
  • Mustard (sauce) – 2 teaspoon

  1. Prepare the required ingredients for making herring sandwiches.

  2. Cut the rye bread into thin slices. Cut out circles from each piece of bread with a mold.
  3. Brush mustard on the cut out slices of bread. You can take any mustard you like – spicy, with honey, with grains.
  4. Peel the white salad or red onion and cut into thin slices without disassembling into rings. Place the onion slices on top of the mustard-smeared bread slices.
  5. Cut the tomatoes into slices and place on the onion.
  6. Cut the salted herring fillet into 6 pieces. Place a piece of herring on each sandwich.

  7. Sprinkle the herring sandwiches with chopped green onions.
