Herring sandwiches are in demand on the festive table; they are always a relevant and versatile snack. I suggest taking note of round rye bread sandwiches with mustard, onions, tomatoes and slices of salted herring fillets. The sandwiches are very tasty, they look smart and bright!
Cook: 15 mins
Servings: 6

Rye bread – 6 pieces
Salted herring fillet – 120 g
White or red onions – 1 pc.
Tomato – 1 pc.
Green onion – 4 feathers
Mustard (sauce) – 2 teaspoon
Directions
Prepare the required ingredients for making herring sandwiches.
Cut the rye bread into thin slices. Cut out circles from each piece of bread with a mold.
Brush mustard on the cut out slices of bread. You can take any mustard you like – spicy, with honey, with grains.
Peel the white salad or red onion and cut into thin slices without disassembling into rings. Place the onion slices on top of the mustard-smeared bread slices.
Cut the tomatoes into slices and place on the onion.
Cut the salted herring fillet into 6 pieces. Place a piece of herring on each sandwich.
Sprinkle the herring sandwiches with chopped green onions.
