Ingredients

  • 600 g beef (prime rib)
  • 125 g pearl barley, medium-sized
  • 300 g potato (s)
  • 1 liter meat broth
  • 1 carrot (s)
  • 1 celery
  • 1 onion (s)
  • 1 clove (s) garlic
  • 1 bunch parsley
  • salt
  • Black pepper
  • nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Cook the beef in the meat stock in a pressure cooker for 1 hour.
  2. Cut the meat, potatoes and vegetables into fine cubes and cook with the pearl barley in the pressure cooker for another 15 minutes. Season the soup to taste with salt, black pepper and nutmeg.
  3. Serve with finely chopped parsley.
  4. With the pearl barley, it is important to note the individual cooking time. It varies depending on the type and brand of pearl barley.
