Russian Julienne Ingredients

  • Lean pork – 400 g
  • Onions – 1-2 pcs.
  • Cheese – 80 g
  • Mayonnaise – 100-150 g
  • Butter or pork fat – 30 g
  • Salt – 1-2 pinches

How to cook a Russian julienne:

  1. Cut the meat into thin strips.

  2. Chop the onion.
  3. Heat a frying pan, melt some butter or pork fat.
  4. Stir-fry the meat over medium heat for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add the onions. Brown the pork together with the onions for another 5-7 minutes and salt to taste.

  6. Place the meat with onions into cocotte pans filling them by two-thirds.
  7. Pour the mayonnaise over it.

  8. Grate the cheese. Turn on the oven and preheat it up to 200 degrees.
  9. Sprinkle the grated cheese over the meat with mayonnaise.

  10. Gratinate the Russian julienne in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes at 200 degrees. Serve the dish in cocotte pans.
