Ingredients

  • 500 g celery
  • 500 g leek
  • 500 g carrot (s)
  • 500 g onion (s)
  • 1 bunch parsley
  • 500 g salt

Instructions

  1. Clean and peel all the vegetables and turn them through the meat grinder. Then add 500g of salt. Stir everything well.
  2. Then put a tea towel over it, put it in a cool and dark place (cellar or refrigerator) and leave it alone for 48 hours. Then stir vigorously and fill into screw-top jars.
  3. If it is then stored in a cool and dark place, it can be kept for a few months and is a great seasoning for soups, sauces, stir-fries and much more. With vegetables you can change the ingredients depending on your taste.
  4. It may not look really tasty, but the dishes always have a fresh note and friends and relatives are also happy to receive a souvenir of this kind.
