  • 400 g Kasseler
  • 500 g sauerkraut
  • 550 g potato (s)
  • Water (salt water)
  • 100 ml milk
  • 50 g butter
  • nutmeg
  • 100 g cheese, rated

Instructions

  1. Cut the smoked pork into small cubes and place in a baking dish. Spread 500 g of sauerkraut on top. Boil 550 g potatoes in salted water and process with nutmeg, butter and approx. 100 ml milk (if you want the mashed potatoes to be firmer, use less milk) to make a puree.
  2. Spread this on the sauerkraut. Spread the cheese on top. Bake the whole thing in the middle of the oven for 30 minutes at 200 ° C.
