Ingredients

  • 150 g walnuts
  • 50 g cashew nuts, roasted and salted
  • 2 chilli peppers or small hot peppers
  • 150 g parmesan, freshly rated
  • a bit salt
  • some pepper
  • 1 bunch basil
  • 1 lime (s)
  • 1 lemon (s)
  • some sugar
  • 1 large clove garlic
  • 400 ml rapeseed oil

Instructions

  1. Put all ingredients including the juice of the lemon and the lime in a blender and mix or puree in a bowl with a hand mixer or magic wand. Season to taste with the spices.
  2. To store, fill into screw-top jars and cover with a layer of rapeseed oil.
  3. The pesto tastes good with fresh tagliatelle with fried salmon or with spaghetti.
