Ingredients

  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 9 tablespoon olive oil
  • 5 slices white bread, stale
  • 0.5 ½ bunch parsley, chopped
  • 500 g spahetti
  • salt
  • 50 g butter
  • Parmesan, freshly grated as required

Instructions

  1. Cook the spaghetti in salted water until al dente. When they`re done, drain them, leave them in the saucepan and add the butter.
  2. In the meantime, peel the garlic cloves, press down a little with the flat side of a knife (I also like to cut the cloves into cubes) and fry in olive oil until the garlic turns golden yellow. If you want, you can take the garlic out of the oil so it doesn`t get bitter. I never take it out and it still tastes great.
  3. Remove the crust from the white bread and crumble the bread well. Then toast the breadcrumbs in the flavored olive oil until golden brown. Pour the cooked spaghetti directly into the pan, toss and mix well with the roasted crumbs. Mix in the parsley.
  4. Arrange the spaghetti and sprinkle with freshly grated parmesan.
