Ingredients

  • 500 g beef
  • 3 onion (s)
  • 2 tablespoon spice mixture, (Berbere) Ethiopian
  • 200 g tomato paste
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • ginger powder
  • salt and pepper
  • oil
  • some water

Instructions

  1. First cut the onions into small pieces and fry them brown in a pan with a little oil. Add the berber, mix with the onions and fry briefly. Now add the pressed or chopped garlic and the tomato paste with a little water and let everything simmer for about 15 minutes. Then add the beef to the sauce and cover everything, simmer on a low heat for about 1 hour until the meat is well done. Finally, season with salt, pepper and, if necessary, ginger powder.
  2. Injera is enough for this.
