Ingredients
- 8 dumplings (bread dumplings)
- 750 g smoked pork (neck piece without bones)
- 1 bag / s prune (s)
- 1 bag / s fruit (dried fruit), mixed (apricots, pears, apples, plums )
- 1 stick cinnamon
- Salt and pepper, black, ground
- Corn starch or sauce thickener
- sugar
- Fat for frying

- Put the dried fruit and prunes with the cinnamon stick in a bowl, cover with water and soak for 60 minutes.
- In the meantime, fry the Kasseler all over in a roasting pan, then roast in the oven at around 200 ° C for 60 minutes. Now add the fruit along with the soaking water and cinnamon stick to the smoked pork and fry for another 30 minutes.
- Take the Kasseler out of the roaster and let it rest for a while. Thicken the sauce with cornstarch or sauce thickener and season with salt, pepper and possibly sugar, remove the cinnamon stick.
