Ingredients

  • 500 ml milk
  • 4 tablespoon sugar
  • 250 g round poppy seeds
  • 5 tablespoon rum
  • 50 g raisins
  • 50 g almond (s), chopped
  • 16 slices white bread

Instructions

  1. Heat the milk, add 2 tablespoons of sugar and the rum and pour half of the warm milk over the poppy seeds. Mix in the raisins and almonds.
  2. Heat the rest of the milk again, add 2 tablespoons of sugar and drizzle over the white bread. It should be soft, but not disintegrated.
  3. Now layer the poppy seed porridge and the white bread alternately in a bowl, ending with a layer of poppy seeds. Let the mixture cool down.
