Ingredients

  • 150 g poppy seeds, round fresh
  • 1 liter milk
  • 100 g suar
  • 50 g raisins
  • 50 g hazelnuts, round
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 2 tablespoon honey
  • 3 rolls, stale
  • 50 g almond (s), round

Instructions

  1. Cut the bread into slices (white bread is also possible), sprinkle 30 g of sugar on top, pour half a liter of milk over it, leave to soak. Bring the remaining milk to the boil, add poppy seeds, sugar, raisins, almonds, nuts, vanilla sugar and honey; Boil everything for about 10 minutes, stirring well again and again. Layer the soaked bread roll mixture with the milk and poppy seed mixture in a bowl; the top layer should be the poppy seeds.
  2. Chill for at least 4 hours, but preferably overnight.
