Ingredients

  • 750 g pork, (lean)
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 ½ teaspoon marjoram, (dried)
  • 1 ½ teaspoon rosemary, (dried)
  • 0.5 ½ teaspoon, oregano, (dried)
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, (freshly chopped)
  • 125 ml olive oil
  • 125 ml wine, white (alternatively broth)
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 red pepper (s) (cut into cubes)
  • 1 green pepper (s) (cut into cubes)
  • 1 lemon (s), untreated (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cut the meat into approx. 2.5-3 cm cubes.
  2. Mix the olive oil with all the other ingredients (except oregano) and marinate the pieces of meat in it overnight.
  3. The next day, remove the meat from the marinade and place it on the skewers alternately with pieces of paprika (red / green cut into pieces).
  4. Now grill the skewers for approx. 3-5 minutes on each side!
  5. Sprinkle the souvlaki skewers with oregano, arrange on a plate with lemon quarters.
  6. (I recommend tzatziki, flatbread, tomato quarters and onion rings as a side dish!)
  7. Extra tip: You can also add a little oregano to the marinade!
  8. The rest is then sprinkled over the finished skewers!
