Ingredients

  • 170 g flour
  • 80 g butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg (s)
  • 2 tablespoon water
  • 1 kg onion (s)
  • 50 g lard
  • 200 g bacon, lean
  • 100 g quark
  • 3 egg (s)
  • 0.25 liter ¼ cream
  • 100 g flour
  • salt and pepper
  • garlic
  • nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Dough: Make a kneading dough with flour, butter, salt, egg and water.
  2. Filling: cut the onions into slices and fry them with the diced bacon in the lard; Mix the quark, eggs and cream vigorously. Mix in the sifted flour and then the onions and bacon and season the mixture with salt, pepper and garlic;
  3. Use the dough to lay out a cake tin with a detachable ring, dia 26cm, prick the dough base with a fork. Put the filling in the tin, put the onion cake in the preheated oven.
  4. Bake at 200 degrees for 35 minutes
