Ingredients

  • 1 onion (s)
  • 2 chilli pepper (s)
  • 2 clove (s) garlic or 3
  • 3 tablespoon olive oil
  • 400 g tomato (s), chunky from the can
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 squirt lemon juice

Instructions

  1. First, the onion is finely diced. Then the chili peppers are pitted and finely chopped together with the garlic.
  2. Now some olive oil is heated in a pan and onions, garlic and chilli are sautéed for 1 minute, then deglazed with the canned tomatoes. Then add the spices, sugar and a pinch of lemon juice. The mass is now brought to the boil and then simmered for 5 - 6 minutes until it thickens a little.
  3. Now let the salsa cool down briefly and then serve directly.
