Ingredients

  • 4 vegetable onion (s)
  • Oil (wok oil)
  • 1 piece (s) ginger, 3 cm
  • Coriander, ground
  • cumin
  • Ground cinnamon
  • Clove powder
  • Cardamom, ground
  • Pepper, ground, black
  • Fennel seeds, ground
  • nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Peel and cut the onions into eighths. Peel the ginger and grate finely.
  2. Heat about 4-5 tablespoons of oil in a wok. Fry the spices briefly, then add the onion pieces and fry them. Salt and stir now and then.
  3. When the onions have turned golden yellow, add 2 tablespoons of water, bring to the boil, then reduce the heat and cover the wok. Stew the onions for approx. 10-15 minutes until soft.
