Ingredients
- 1 kg flour
- 2 cubes fresh yeast or
- 2 sachets dry yeast
- 3 ½ teaspoons salt
- 3 ½ tablespoon oil
- 500 ml water, lukewarm
- some spice mix for bread (fennel, caraway, coriander), to taste
- 2 cloves garlic, pressed

- If fresh yeast is used, dissolve the yeast in a little water. Put all the ingredients in a bowl and knead everything together vigorously and for a long time (this works best in the food processor, of course), then let rise for about 1/2 hour (possibly a little longer with dry yeast) until the dough has increased in volume.
- For preparation, wrap it in rolls around long, thin sticks and hold them in the fire (or even better, without a flame near the embers) until the stick bread is crispy brown. Then eat straight from the stick!
