Ingredients

  • 4 kohlrabi
  • 1 onion (s)
  • 2 bell peppers, yellow, red or orange
  • 3 tablespoon heavy cream
  • 2 packs sauce (herb sauce), light
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable stock, powder

Instructions

  1. Clean and peel the kohlrabi. Cook in about ¾ l boiling water, possibly with vegetable stock and a little salt, for about 30 minutes.
  2. Dice the onion and paprika and sauté in a little oil. Season with salt and pepper. Hollow out the kohlrabi and fill with onion and paprika. Put in an ovenproof dish. Mix ½ l of the kohlrabi water with cream and briefly bring to the boil. Stir in the herb sauce and pour over the kohlrabi. Add the rest of the filling to the sauce.
  3. Cook in the oven at 200 ° for approx. 20 minutes.
  4. In addition: rice
  5. If you want to go fast, you don`t necessarily have to fill the kohlrabi, you can quarter it and add the filling to the sauce.
  6. You can also make the light sauce yourself:
  7. 2 tablespoons of grainy mustard
  8. 200 ml of cream
  9. 1/8 l bouillon (here also kohlrabi water)
  10. 2 teaspoons of broth
  11. 1 herb or mixed herbs of your choice
  12. salt
  13. pepper
  14. Mix the mustard, cream, stock and starch together, bring to the boil. Stir in the herb, season to taste.
