Ingredients

  • 240 g flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar (bourbon)
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ salt
  • 80 g butter
  • 100 g suar
  • 1 egg (s)
  • 110 g sour cream
  • 60 ml milk
  • Cinnamon, to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix the flour, baking powder, vanilla sugar, salt and cinnamon (amount as desired) in a bowl thoroughly.
  2. Melt the butter and let it cool down a bit. Then mix well with the sugar, the egg, sour cream and the milk in a second bowl.
  3. Add the liquid ingredients to the flour mixture and stir in briefly until the dry ingredients are just moist.
  4. Preheat the oven to 190 degrees, fill the muffin cups 2/3 full and bake for about 20 minutes.
  5. Melt some butter and let cool down a bit. In a second bowl, make a mixture of sugar and cinnamon (again, amount to taste).
  6. Then dip the completely cooled muffins with the heads in the melted butter and then immediately in the sugar-cinnamon mixture. Finished!!
  7. The muffins have been very popular with friends and relatives for years and they don`t just taste good at Christmas.
