Ingredients

  • 1 leek
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 1 teaspoon, cut Sambal Oelek
  • 1 tablespoon oil, neutral (e.g. rapeseed oil)

Instructions

  1. Clean and wash the leek and cut into 0.5 cm rings. Blanch briefly in water, rinse in cold water and place in a bowl.
  2. Heat the oil in a pan and add all the other ingredients. Bring to the boil until it foams properly and the sugar has dissolved.
  3. Pour immediately over the leek. Leave to cool for 30 minutes at room temperature, then put in the refrigerator overnight.
