Sweet and Sour Pickled Cucumbers in the Microwave

Spicy, sweet and sour pickled cucumbers can be cooked in just 10 minutes. For this you need a microwave oven. An excellent vegetable appetizer, an addition to burgers or hot dogs will appear on your table. Or, put ready-made pickles in a sterilized jar and seal tightly for the winter. Such an appetizer will always come in handy for salads and will add a bright taste to a festive dinner.

Ingredients

  • Cucumbers – 500 g
  • Onions – 220 g
  • Sugar – 400 g
  • Vinegar 6% – 200 ml
  • Salt – 2 teaspoon
  • Mustard seeds – 1 teaspoon
  • Ground turmeric – 1/2 teaspoon

Directions

  1. Cut the cucumbers into thin, round slices.
  2. Peel the onion and cut into half rings.
  3. Put cucumbers, onions, salt, mustard seeds, turmeric, sugar and vinegar in a microwave oven. Mix.
  4. Put the cucumbers with onions and spices in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 800-850W. Remove and stir. Microwave the cucumbers for another 4 minutes at 800-850W.
  5. Remove sweet and sour pickled cucumbers from the microwave and transfer to a jar, cool and refrigerate.
